Stores that accept Korean text
Stores with many Korean customers may accept the address in Korean or add a separate customs code field. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Use Korean in fields that accept it and the English form in English-only fields, but do not mix the two within one address — labels can break and carriers may fail to read it.
Using a package forwarder means two addresses
When an item does not ship to Korea, a forwarder receives it first. You enter addresses in two places.
- Overseas store: the forwarder's local warehouse address and your member code — not your Korean address.
- Forwarder request form: your Korean address and customs code.
- Leaving out the member code (often in Address Line 2) delays check-in at the warehouse.
Mistakes that block delivery or customs
- Recipient and customs code owner differ: use the code of the person receiving the package.
- Phone number mismatch: keep the same number registered with your customs code.
- Same value in City and State: for Seoul, State is Seoul and City is the gu.
- Unit number crammed into Address Line 1: keep it in Address Line 2.
- Translated road names: "성암로" is Seongam-ro; copy the official English address.
